Curated by Wyan Yeung Li-shung, Studio MEHH is a cross-disciplinary creative studio in Hong Kong with a team of young design professionals to promote, support, develop and disseminates high-quality ideas in the subjects of architecture, exhibition, retail, installation and furniture. The diversity of background reinforces a core vision for the practice: to act as a catalyst arouse wider interest in the creative fields and encourage cross-cultural fertilization through live projects. We believe that good quality of design should be achievable at all levels in the society. Through collaborative projects with the local communities and other artists or designers, the team is keen to explore different urban issues within the larger community, which hopefully could cause positive influence on the users or viewers.
Firstly trained as architect at the University of Hong Kong and secondly trained as arts and cultural observer at Central Saint Martins, Wyan is a design educator, registered architect and multi-disciplinary designer. He is the fellow of Chartered Society of Designers (U.K.), the chartered member of Royal Institute of British Architects and the member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. His works have been shortlisted and awarded in a number of international competitions, such as the first prize in the RIBA elderly home competition in U.K. in 2009.
